Then he squared up, hands up and seemed ready to go. I was flummoxed. Then he asked for a cigarette, in staccato English. I said, “fuck you, no.” and he seemed offended. I walked down the street, and as he biked past he gave me thumbs up and i gave the ole middle finger. So that happened.]
